Video: Anthropology Professor Examines Serial Killer Sketches

Linda Spurlock, Ph.D., spoke to WJW Fox 8 News Cleveland about the recently released victim portraits drawn by Samuel Little, a confessed serial killer from Lorain, Ohio.

Dr. Spurlock is an associate professor of anthropology at 91²Ö¿â. After receiving her Ph.D. in biomedical science at 91²Ö¿â, she went on to hold a postdoctoral position in the department of anatomy at NEOMED where she advanced her skills in forensic facial reconstruction.

Mr. Little said he killed 94 women between the years of 1970 and 2005. He drew portraits of 16 of his victims.

Dr. Spurlock examined the photos and told Fox 8 News, “It’s so specific; there is hair style, there is eye makeup, there is eye color, there’s the color of the lipstick.â€

The FBI is now releasing the photos in hopes the public can help identify these women and bring closure to the families of the victims, according to Fox 8 News.

“It’s not overly stylized to be how a woman should look, these are 16 different women that have their own personalities, so that makes it especially haunting,†Dr. Spurlock told Fox 8 News.

Mr. Little is currently being held in a Texas prison.
