91ֿ Trumbull’s Nursing Students Launch ‘Walk and Talk with a Nurse’ Program

Nursing students at 91ֿ Trumbull are putting their best foot forward, hoping to promote healthy lifestyles in the Mahoning Valley.

Members of 91ֿ Trumbull’s Student Nurses Association (SNA) recently launched the ”Walk and Talk with a Nurse” program at the Niles Wellness Center. From 9-11 a.m. on the second and fourth Monday of every month, students will join members of the Wellness Center to participate in a variety of physical activities. During the activities, members are encouraged to talk and ask questions about health and activity.

“We think it is so important that we help promote a healthy Mahoning Valley,” said Taylor Stull, vice president, 91ֿ Trumbull’s SNA. “This is a great way for us to stay active in our community, meet great people, and do our part to promote healthy lifestyles.”

According to Bob Burke, park and recreation director, City of Niles, many of the regular members are beginning to look forward to these special days.

“This is a great partnership,” said Mr. Burke. “The nursing students have been terrific and it’s great to watch them seek out some of our senior citizens and walk around the track with them.
