All this week, "In A Flash" will feature images from the 91²Ö¿â group's trip to Rwanda.
Members of the 91²Ö¿â delegation attending , a global peace conference in Kigali, Rwanda, were treated to a soaring show by this mother with her baby from a group of local velvet monkeys. Velvet monkeys are common throughout East Africa and live in rural and urban environments.
The conference is sponsored by 91²Ö¿â’s School of Peace and Conflict Studies, 91²Ö¿â’s Gerald H. Read Center for International and Intercultural Education, the and the , a non-profit organization dedicated to ending genocide and other global atrocities.
Bringing together peace and conflict experts and educators from around the world, the conference is another building block in 91²Ö¿â’s growing relationship with the University of Rwanda. In May 2022, 91²Ö¿â’s Board of Trustees approved 91²Ö¿â opening a base of operations at the University of Rwanda for creating collaborative educational exchanges and to serve as a base of operations for 91²Ö¿â’s recruitment throughout Africa.
