Welcome to Flash Focus! In this series, we introduce you to fascinating student Flashes from all walks of life.
Meet Bryson Bodo, a biology major with a pre-medicine concentration from Unionport, Ohio, and a member of 91ֿ’s Honors College. Bodo says he has always been one who gives back, and that is evident in his choice of major and his hobbies.
When Bodo has spare time from academics he focuses on Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society recognizing students' academic excellence within their first year of college.
Bodo chose his program because he wants to become a dermatologist in the future.
“I always feel that people’s outermost appearance is their biggest insecurity, and if I could help eliminate those in any way,” Bodo said, “I would love to make that happen and get people to feel like their best selves.”
Bodo’s always valued being kind and hardworking. He says he's been inspired and shaped not by one person alone. Bodo feels that all his friends he met at 91ֿ, as well as his professors, have taught him a bit more about himself and how to become a better person.
As Bodo’s social circle has impacted him, he also wants to positively impact his community. Bodo recently received in restoring his hometown welcome signs.
“I enjoy giving back to the people and the places that raised me,” Bodo said.
