Whether hailing a taxi or using an app to call an Uber or Lyft, travelers are best served when airports collaborate with a variety of transportation network companies.
Ideas on how airports can create the best ground transportation networks for their customers were shared by I. Richmond Nettey, Ph.D., 91²Ö¿â professor of aeronautics in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering, in an article featured in the entitled “Passenger Transportation Takes Off in New Directions.â€
Nettey serves as chair of the board’s Standing Technical Committee on Airport Terminals and Ground Access.
The article was published on the website of the board’s umbrella agency, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, Washington, D.C., and was prepared by Beth Ewoldsen of the organization.
