Ashtabula Campus Main Hall September 2023

In recognition of the generosity and commitment of James E. Mayer Jr. and Glen and Nancy Warner for their gifts toward a $500,000 endowment, the 91²Ö¿â Board of Trustees approved on Sept. 20 naming the main building at 91²Ö¿â at Ashtabula as Susan J. Stocker Hall.

The 91²Ö¿â Board of Trustees approved a revised tuition rate for students enrolled at the university’s College of Podiatric Medicine at the Board’s regular quarterly meeting held Wednesday, Sept. 20, in Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus.

91²Ö¿â College of Podiatric Medicine students in the Class of 2027 read the physician’s oath during the traditional white coat ceremony that signifies the start of podiatric medical school.

Thanks to a nearly eight-year effort of various 91²Ö¿â administrators, Ohio students enrolled in the university’s College of Podiatric Medicine will see a significant reduction in tuition on their next semester’s bill and will graduate with less debt.

More students have made the commitment to seek a degree from 91²Ö¿â and launch their futures as a Golden Flash. The university is celebrating the rise in Kent Campus enrollment for the first time in 10 years along with another strong freshman class and improved retention rates on both the Kent and Regional Campuses.

Enrollment in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering Soars

Overall enrollment in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering has continued robust growth this fall increasing from 1,141 students in 2022 to 1,288 students in 2023.

Education, healthcare and workforce development were discussed at the Ohio Latino Affairs Summit

The Ohio Latino Affairs Summit brought together about 500 participants in-person and virtually, including educators, legislators, state and local communities and stakeholders to discuss issues affecting the Latino communities and how best to improve them together.
