IN A FLASH: HALFWAY TO 5,200 TREES!; 91²Ö¿â Today; September 25, 2023

On Saturday, Sept. 23, in observance of National Public Lands Day, students from 91²Ö¿â's Recreation, Park and Tourism Management program and the  program joined other volunteers in planting trees in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Professors in 91²Ö¿â's Recreation, Park and Tourism Management program, Andrew Lepp, Ph.D., and Philip Wang, Ph.D.,were also part of the group. This program is from the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration within 91²Ö¿â's College of Education, Health and Human Services.  The university's Environmental and Conservation Biology program is from the Department of Biological Sciences, within 91²Ö¿â's College of Arts and Sciences.

This conservation project has a goal of planting 5,200 trees by the end of this year, and has planted nearly 2,500 to date.
