Pamela Jones
Biography
Pamela Jones, Academic Program Coordinator, Success Coach in University College serves as the University Success Coach engaging students in reflective experiences for self-discovery, confident-intentional decision-making, and student success. Pamela instructs the “Success Coaching: Defining Me! Defining Success.” seminar course. Pamela engages students in required and voluntary, individual, group, and workshop Success Coaching experiences. Pamela supervises ADO (Academic Diversity Outreach) L.E.A.D Ambassadors (Leaders Excelling and Attaining Degrees), a peer support student outreach initiative. Pamela oversees the operations of the Peer Success Specialists (PSS), a Success Coaching peer support initiative in partnership with the Honors College. Pamela dedicates time to initiatives that provide a trusting space for students to: increase self-awareness; be open to new possibilities and new ways of thinking; and, to make decisions resulting in success based on self-knowledge. Pamela facilitates a variety of campus-wide department, staff and student training initiatives. Committee member involvement includes: University-Stewards, International Student and Scholar Integration Committee, and Summer Diverse Programs Interview Day.
The leadership of Pamela has contributed to developing elements of University College Kupita/Transiciones program, University First-Generation celebration, Career Exploration and Development (CED) Go-Pro!, DKS Day, along with restructuring the L.E.A.D. Ambassador peer-outreach plan increasing student touch-points and connecting activity opportunities.
