While most high school seniors are thinking about prom, final exams and graduation parties, some are preparing for their academic future by attending 91²Ö¿â at Stark’s First Step program. Though they still have a month of high school to complete, Michaela Morris, Shelby Secrest, Anna Genovese and Devin Giovannelli are officially 91²Ö¿â Stark freshmen, having already completed the advising and registration program.
Giovannelli, a senior at Jackson High School, will enter 91²Ö¿â Stark’s nursing program this fall. She says First Step was very informative and is looking forward to experiencing all that the Stark Campus has to offer. A senior at Hoover High School, Morris was thrilled to receive her schedule and FLASHcard, 91²Ö¿â’s student identification card. She wants other high school students who have not yet selected a college to know that she chose 91²Ö¿â Stark because it is a wonderful school with affordable tuition. Secrest and Genovese both attend Jackson High School. They chose 91²Ö¿â’s largest regional campus for its convenient location.
First Step is required for all incoming 91²Ö¿â Stark freshmen who are age 20 and younger. Students receive an invitation to First Step shortly after being admitted. Before attending the program, students must complete any required placement assessments marked on their invitation.
