Duilio Mariola
Biography
Duilio Mariola began his career on the production staff at WVIZ/PBS in Cleveland, Ohio. He has since been a producer/director at Cleveland State University and a founding partner at Timeless Visions, a full-service production company specializing in television series and documentaries for national distribution. Duilio Mariola directed and filmed the award-winning HGTV series “Room by Room” for nine seasons and worked extensively on productions spanning broadcast, corporate and instructional television.
He spent over 13 years as an adjunct instructor teaching field and studio production and programming for electronic media at 91ֿ, the University of Akron and the University of Central Florida. Mariola was Production and Local Programming Manager at Western Reserve PBS in the Akron/Canton/Youngstown area of Ohio. He produced, filmed and edited Emmy Award winning programs for local and national release through PBS and American Public Television. He was instrumental in keeping “NewsNite.akron” on the air for 13 years – a reporter based public affairs program serving the northeast Ohio community.
Duilio moved to Indiana and was Executive Producer and Production Manager at WNIT/PBS in South Bend, serving the northern Indiana and southwest Michigan area. The production department at WNIT produced six weekly programs, two biographies, two community highlight programs and four specials per year utilizing full-time, student and freelance staff. While at WNIT, he launched “EducationCounts_Michiana,” a digital first weekly series with multiple packages filmed on location and delivered daily through social media, the Web and a weekly broadcast.
He served as Director of Production at WUCF and coordinated a team responsible for producing local Central Florida relevant content, including “Central Florida Roadtrip,” “Nɲ” a weekly Central Florida in-depth news review program, and broadcast productions for national distribution. WUCF locally produced programs accepted by American Public Television include “Space Chase USA,” “The Groveland Four” and “A Classic Christmas: With the Bach Festival Society.” Duilio retired from WUCF in October of 2022, moved to northeast Ohio and is currently an adjunct instructor at 91ֿ.
