Enrollment Management Unveils New Initiatives
The Enrollment Management team has been working with our campus partners on three exciting initiatives that will make it easier for prospective students and their families as they prepare for college.
ScholarshipUniverse
ScholarshipUniverse is a new search portal that will help match students to more than 240 institutional and 6,000 external scholarships. Students can find additional scholarships based on major, academic achievements, financial need, activities, interests and more! Receiving a scholarship is not guaranteed, and scholarships are competitive. Students should apply for as many scholarships as possible. To use the ScholarshipUniverse portal, a student must be an admitted or continuing student at 91²Ö¿â. In phase two, all Regional Campuses will be included in this portal. And once phase three is completed, all institutional scholarships awarded at 91²Ö¿â will be loaded into the portal. To explore and learn more, visit: the Scholarship Universe Web page.
Personalized Financial Aid Video
All newly admitted 91²Ö¿â students will receive a customized financial aid video via email and text when they receive their financial aid offer from the university for fall 2022 enrollment. The customized videos will include the student’s name and award amount in both voice-over and text. The videos will feature custom scenes of campus locations and student engagement. We know students are more engaged with video. Information presented will be easy to understand and we can share changes to a student’s financial aid package to help students and their families finalize plans to attend 91²Ö¿â. The videos are accessible and may be viewed in English or Spanish. .
Custom Viewbook
91²Ö¿â’s new custom viewbook delivers a personalized, shareable, accessible experience for prospective students and their families. Our new digital viewbook allows students and families to explore 91²Ö¿â in a way that is 100% tailored to each student’s interests. Students can mix and match their favorite programs and explore areas of student life that speak to them. The viewbook includes photos, videos, and quotes from students for a rich, engaging, and relevant experience that helps them explore life at 91²Ö¿â. This viewbook can help each student prepare to take the next steps in their admissions journey.
We are adding helpful information for international students and, later this spring, the graduate program custom viewbook will launch. .

EHHS Professor Receives Distinguished Mentor Award
Cassie Storlie, Ph.D., associate professor of Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences on the Kent Campus, will receive the David K. Brooks, Jr. Distinguished Mentor Award at the ACA Virtual Conference Experience in April.
This notable achievement recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an enthusiasm and support for the unique educational experience of mentoring that Brooks himself enjoyed and created through his own career and friendships.
Storlie’s expertise centers on issues of career development among marginalized populations, particularly individuals with disabilities and those from minority cultures; social justice and career development of undocumented Latino youth; and salient topics in counselor development and counselor education.
She earned her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Iowa, and is licensed in Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Designation (LPCC-S). Storlie serves as the doctoral program coordinator for the Counselor Education and Supervision program and has held a variety of leadership positions at state, regional, national and international levels in the counseling profession.
Storlie’s other achievements include EHHS’ Distinguished Faculty Researcher in 2020, and recipient of the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision Outstanding Professional Leadership Award.
This award was created by the American Counseling Association Foundation and first presented in 1999 to honor David K. Brooks, Jr., a beloved, former 91²Ö¿â faculty member, and friend to many in counseling.
Mentoring was an integral facet of Brooks' professional life and his personal philosophy. He believed his career had advanced because of wise and caring mentors. Consequently, as an educator, he actively reached out to help others in their professional work.
The American Counseling Association Foundation recognizes individuals who exemplify the broadest definition of mentoring, such as sharing expertise with new members of the profession and providing academic, professional, personal or organizational support. The Foundation is emphatic in the desire to honor people representing the wide and rich diversity of the ACA membership.

Wellable Gratitude Challenge, April 4 - May 1
The expression of gratitude doesn’t just feel good, it has a profound effect on health, happiness, and your overall well-being. In addition to tracking your daily physical activity, the Wellable Gratitude challenge allows you to flex your gratitude muscles by incorporating gratefulness into your everyday life. By completing unique and creative gratitude exercises, you will learn how to cultivate and engage in gratitude during the challenge and beyond.
Please note this challenge incorporates physical activity tracking as well as gratitude activities. Active participants will be eligible for random prize drawings throughout the challenge.
This challenge is open to all full- and part-time staff and faculty. Those participating in the wellness rewards program can earn 20 points toward Tier 2. by March 28.

REMINDER: Annual Survey on Unwanted Sexual Contact Closes March 25 - Make Sure Your Voice Is Heard!
The Ohio Department of Higher Education’s Changing Campus Culture Initiative seeks to strengthen the ability to respond to, and ultimately prevent, sexual violence on Ohio campuses. The benchmarking survey gathers data to guide action and is a helpful way to measure statewide progress in prevention and response trends. Make sure your voice is heard. .

Important Information about Final Grading of Spring 2022 Second 5 Weeks (POT F2) Classes
Online final grading for Spring 2022 Second 5 Weeks (POT F2) begins Tuesday, March 22, via FlashFAST. Grading is also now available for any Spring 2022 course section that was flexibly scheduled. The deadline for grading submission is midnight on Monday, March 28. Any final grades for Spring 2022 courses not reported in FlashFAST by the grades processing deadline will have to be submitted using the Grade Change Workflow. These Spring 2022 courses will be available in the Workflow on Wednesday, March 30.

To submit final grades via the Final Grades roster, login to , then click Faculty & Advisors/Faculty Dashboard/Grading Resources. Locate Final Grades to submit grades.
Submit Final grades using Grade Push (Canvas/Blackboard Users)
If you use either Blackboard Learn or Canvas, there is a tool to make reporting your final grades easier—with a push of the button! The process is called Grade Push and it will allow you to “push†the final grades recorded in Blackboard or Canvas into our KSU Final Grade Roster, thus eliminating the time and effort spent manually entering them.
To access the Grade Push application, login to , then click Faculty & Advisors/Faculty Dashboard/Grading Resources.
- Canvas users will select Canvas Final Grade Push to submit grades.
- Blackboard users will select Blackboard Final Grade Push to submit grades.

Please Note: The Grade Push applications have been developed as an option to assist in streamlining the university grading process. The use of these application is not mandatory, though it is encouraged.
Incomplete Mark Workflow:
The instructor must create and submit an Incomplete Mark contract via the workflow. Instructors are no longer able to select the incomplete mark (IB+, IC+, IC-, etc.) from the final grade roster in FlashFAST (Self-Service Banner). The primary instructor must initiate and submit the contract using this new workflow process, which mimics the old paper process. Once the contract has been accepted by the student and approved by the department chair/campus dean, the student’s grade will be updated automatically. The primary instructor will be able to initiate and submit the contract for a student after the deadline to withdraw (10th week of a regularly scheduled section in fall and spring, or prorated for flexibly scheduled sections) through the end of final grading.

NF/SF Administrative Marks:
The administrative mark NF (Never Attended–Fail) denotes that the student neither attended one class session nor formally withdrew from the course. If a student has never attended your course, mark the student as “Not Started†on the Academic Presence Verification Roster, and the NF will automatically populate to your Final Grades roster.
The administrative mark SF (Stopped Attending–Fail) denotes that the student stopped attending the course and did not formally withdraw and must be accompanied by a date of last attendance in the course. If a student has stopped attending your course the SF can be entered on the Final Grade Roster along with the student’s last date of attendance.
