At 91²Ö¿â College of Nursing, student success starts with the right support, and the right space. That’s why we’re excited to share the latest updates to Henderson Hall, designed to enhance both academic advising and hands-on learning.
Last summer, our academic advising suite underwent a major transformation, creating a centralized, first-floor location that makes it easier for students to connect with their advisors. With expanded office space and an inviting layout, the new suite fosters collaboration among students, advisors and families. This ensures that every nursing student has the guidance they need to thrive.
The relocation of the advising suite has also opened the door for the next big step in our planned facility enhancements: upgrades to our simulation and skills labs. These labs provide nursing students with real-world, hands-on experiences in a safe and supportive environment. As the demand for skilled nurses grows, so does our need for expanded, state-of-the-art learning spaces. Planned enhancements include additional simulation labs that allow students to practice with high-fidelity manikins, dedicated nurse practitioner simulation spaces that mirror real-life clinical settings and new debriefing and open lab areas where students can refine their skills with faculty support. Expanding lab space will also help accommodate our growing student population while ensuring we continue to meet accreditation standards.

These improvements will ensure that 91²Ö¿â nursing students graduate ready to lead with confidence in the evolving healthcare landscape. With these exciting enhancements come unique philanthropic opportunities. Naming gifts for spaces within the academic advising suite, such as individual offices, the conference room, and the suite itself, offer a meaningful way to support student success while leaving a lasting legacy. There are also naming opportunities available within the simulation and skills labs, providing donors with the chance to directly impact the hands-on training that shapes the future of nursing.
Philanthropy plays a vital role in shaping the student experience, and support for capital improvements is one of the most impactful ways to make a difference. Updated facilities not only provide students with the tools they need to succeed but also help attract top faculty, strengthen academic programs, and ensure that graduates are fully prepared for the evolving demands of the healthcare profession. Every gift toward these enhancements directly benefits current and future students, creating a lasting legacy of excellence in nursing education.
