Biography
I am a primary care Nurse Practitioner and an acute and critical care Clinical Nurse Specialist with 18 years of advance practice experience. I earned my BSN ('02), MSN ('06) and NP certificate ('22) from 91²Ö¿â. I also hold certification as a neuroscience registered nurse and have completed a fellowship as an advanced neurovascular practitioner. I am in my fifth semester of work on my Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) with my project focusing on care patients with dementia and their care partners.
I began teaching formally with the College of Nursing in the fall of 2016 in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program and began coordinating the advanced pharmacology course in the spring of 2017.
My advanced practice career has mostly centered around neurology/neurosurgery, neurocritical care, trauma and general critical care. My areas of interest encompass neurodegenerative disease, stroke and traumatic brain injury, including concussion. Currently I practice in outpatient neurology.
I live in Cuyahoga Falls with my 9-year-old son, 6-year-old daughter, and dog.
