Beth McAllister
Biography
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Grove City College in 1993. After graduation, I taught elementary school at a private academy where I saw the tremendous value of working with children in small group settings. Since that time, I have worked with preschool and elementary school age children in a variety of learning environments. Currently, I work as kindergarten co-teacher at the Child Development Center. My philosophy of education has been greatly influenced by the work of British educator Charlotte Mason, my study of the Reggio Emilia approach to education, and observations of my own children at play. It is my firm belief that education should be meaningful and joyful. Professionally, my interests include outdoor education, small group inquiry, and learning environments which support the work of children, families, and teachers.
