Walter Robins
Biography
Walter Robins graduated from 91²Ö¿â in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in the newly created School of Digital Sciences with a concentration in Digital Systems Software Development and a minor in Computer Science. While attending school, Walter served several student worker positions related to technology and development. During the 2012-2014 academic years, he was a Technology Assistant at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, providing hardware and software support for approximately 200 digital assets across the SRWC, the Ice Arena and the Crooked River Adventure Center. During the 2014-2015 academic year, he served two positions on campus. Primarily, he worked as a Student Application Developer for Platform & Integration Solutions, a division of Information Services, doing ASP.NET and Drupal development for the kent.edu website and employee-facing portal applications. He also served as a TA for the TECH 46411 Requirements Engineering course offered by the College of Applied Engineering, Sustainability and Technology.
Walter's primary interests are software architecture, mobile development, PHP development, ASP.NET development, and information security.
His hobbies include gaming, cycling, skiing, chess, martial arts, and studying sharp pointy things.
In his current position as an Applications Developer for Systems Development, Walter is responsible for developing and maintaining global, re-usable OutSystems components for use in 91²Ö¿â's web applications. He also conducts reviews of OutSystems applications before they are placed in KSU's live environment for use by faculty, staff, and students.
