University Community Invited to See Why 91�ֿ�’s Future Is So Bright

Come see why 91�ֿ�’s future is so bright. 91�ֿ� faculty, staff and students are invited to a celebration event on Monday, Feb. 1, at 4 p.m. at the Kent Student Center Ballroom, where 91�ֿ� President Beverly Warren will shed light on the university’s new brand. There will be food and giveaways at the event.

The celebration will continue on Manchester Field with a special Light the Night 91�ֿ� bonfire with s’mores and an opportunity to be part of a unique experience that is undeniably 91�ֿ�.

91�ֿ�’s Regional Campuses, the Regional Academic Center in Twinsburg and the College of Podiatric Medicine will host watch locations for their campus communities.

91�ֿ� Board of Trustees Announces Plans for National Presidential Search

The 91�ֿ� Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.

91�ֿ� Receives State Historic Preservation Award for Preserving May 4 History and Site

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 91�ֿ� in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 91�ֿ� remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
