The event will celebrate heroes of all kinds, including the doctors, nurses and courageous patients at Akron Children’s Hospital. Kent State University, a Hero Zone sponsor for this year's event, is honored and excited to sponsor Wonder Girl Layla Popik. Layla, a patient at Akron Children’s Hospital, is 10 years old and was born in China with achondroplasia. She was brought to the United States when she was eight years old.
