  • Elaine Robinson, assistant to the vice president for institutional
    advancement, had her 4-year-old grandson, Jojo, in her community
    garden this year. Robinson says, “He has his own picketed ‘plot’
    within my 16x40 foot plot. We are having great fun nurturing the
    plants and seeds, and he is learning to appreciate the growing
    𲹲Dz.”


  • Laure Farnbauch, manager for laboratory resources in the
    Department of Psychological Sciences, spent a week at Nags
    Head, North Carolina, relaxing beachside.


  • Janine Tiffe, faculty member in the School of Music, shared this
    photo of the 91ֿ African Ensemble during a trip
    to Glasgow, Scotland, to perform for the International Society for
    Music Education conference. Here the group is experiencing the
    beautiful Scottish Highlands at the Inveraray Castle.

The 91ֿ Board of Trustees today established a comprehensive, national search to recruit and select the university’s 13th president.

 

The events of May 4, 1970, placed 91ֿ in an international spotlight after a student protest against the Vietnam War and the presence of the Ohio National Guard ended in tragedy with four students losing their lives and nine others being wounded. From a perspective of nearly 50 years, 91ֿ remembers the tragedy and leads a contemporary discussion and understanding of how the community, nation and world can benefit from understanding the profound impact of the event.
