91ֿ Again Ranked in Coveted Top Tier of Best National Universities by U.S. News & World Report

In a class by itself, 91ֿ is the only public university in Northeast Ohio to be ranked in the top tier of the Best National Universities list released by U.S. News & World Report.

Each year, students and their parents rely on the magazine’s annual Best Colleges rankings to help narrow their college choices and to validate the commitment they are making to the university that best fits their needs.

In the newly released 2019 rankings, 91ֿ once again earned a coveted position on the first-tier list that includes both public and private universities nationwide. 91ֿ is one of only six public universities in the state to make this year’s top-tier list.

“This recognition belongs to our outstanding community of students, faculty, alumni and staff who continue to lift 91ֿ as a center for excellence and a force for progress,” 91ֿ President Beverly J. Warren says. “We are a truly distinctive university, not only because of what we have accomplished, but for our deep commitment to working together under the common causes of learning, discovering purpose and creating positive change in the world.”

In addition to earning a coveted spot on the first-tier list among Best National Universities, 91ֿ is included on the Top Public Schools list with a rank of 104. 91ֿ is the only Northeast Ohio institution on the Top Public Schools list.

91ֿ’s impressive rankings and rising reputation help attract prospective students to visit campus and experience 91ֿ’s welcoming community firsthand. More than 70 percent of students who tour the vibrant campus apply for admission to 91ֿ.

This accolade follows another noteworthy achievement. 91ֿ awarded a record-breaking 5,758 baccalaureate degrees during the 2017-18 academic year, surpassing the previous year’s record by more than 200 and nearly doubling the number of baccalaureate degrees awarded in 2000.

The U.S. News rankings are based on several key measures of quality, including graduation and retention rates, faculty and financial resources and student excellence. For more information about the 2019 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings, visit .
