91ֿ’s School of Fashion Design and Merchandising has once again been named among the nation’s elite, according to new rankings from .
For fashion merchandising, the school has been rated No. 3 nationally (top 2 percent of schools considered), No. 3 nationally among public schools and colleges (top 4 percent of schools considered), and No. 1 in the Midwest.
For fashion design, the school has been rated No. 4 nationally (top 3 percent of schools considered) No. 2 nationally among public schools and colleges (top 3 percent of schools considered), and No. 1 in the Midwest.
“We are incredibly pleased that the Fashion School at 91ֿ continues to be recognized as one of the top schools in the United States with the release of the Fashion-Schools.org rankings, and amongst the best in the world in other internationally focused rankings as well,” says J.R. Campbell, director of 91ֿ’s Fashion School. “We continually strive to be the best at supporting a globally active, industry-focused educational platform for our diverse and international population of fashion students right here in Kent, Ohio.”
The school was founded in 1983 and boasts a current enrollment of approximately 2,000 students who are educated across three locations including Rockwell Hall on the Kent Campus, the university’s New York City studio located in the Garment District and at 91ֿ’s Florence Center in Italy. Students enrolled in the Fashion School also are offered education-abroad opportunities in Paris, South Korea and China. Approximately 90 percent of the school’s graduates find employment in their field in less than a year, and more than 3,000 alumni can be found throughout the industry working for the world’s most recognized brands.
