National Student Speech, Language, Hearing Association
91²Ö¿â Us
The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is an organization of Speech Language Pathology and Audiology students who are passionate about communication and communication disorders. Recognized by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), 91²Ö¿â's NSSLHA chapter is just one of over 300 university chapters with over 13,000 NSSLHA members country-wide. 91²Ö¿â NSSLHA hosts meetings for undergraduate SLP and Audiology students to raise awareness of communication disorders and other major-related topics, prepares undergraduates for the graduate school application process, and opens up opportunities for members to participate in volunteer work, creating a more inclusive community where communication is accessible for everyone. We are currently partnering with the Autism Society of Greater Akron and the City of North Canton to design and build a communication board for non-verbal children at the Dogwood Park Possibility Playground.
