Biography
Emily Herman McMillan earned her Ph.D in Counselor Education and Supervision from Ohio State University and is licensed as a School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Ohio. She has nearly a decade of K-12 school counseling experience and has worked in clinical mental health settings, including drug and alcohol centers and behavioral health hospitals. She has held various leadership positions in the counseling profession at state and regional levels, including Secretary of the Ohio Counseling Association and the North Central ACES Graduate Student Representative. Her research centers on social and emotional learning, specifically for educators, and the intersection of SEL in diverse and marginalized populations.
