Participants will gain appreciation for the scope of HR responsibilities of attracting, developing, and retaining employees. Additionally, the facilitator will review basic aspects of compliance and employment law.

Participants will understand the definition of emotional intelligence, define the four components of EI and related competences, identify strategies for enhancing your EI and define an emotionally intelligent culture. Additionally, participants will understand the process of achieving an emotionally intelligent culture and how to identify strengths and opportunities in your current leadership approach.

Participants will review their role in managing performance. They will learn how to set and manage expectations and determine SMART goals. The facilitator will engage the participants in skill-building activities focusing on the feedback model, coaching for results, effective delegation, discussing growth opportunities and developing action plans.

This workshop provides a practice-based approach to learning coaching skills.

Techniques for utilizing coaching skills in a variety of situations are offered in role-play activities. Participants will also learn how to incorporate their employees’ performance evaluations into a “professional development plan†that will be used as that employee’s model for coaching throughout the year.
