Jordan Provost
Music Education Major

Jordan Provost is currently a senior majoring in Music Education and studies piano with Dr. Donna Lee. Since freshman year, Provost has made the most out of his college career. He is currently the pianist for the Kent Wind Ensemble and also had the opportunity to serve as Apprentice Conductor in May 2016 for the Canton Youth Symphony Advanced Orchestra. He also serves as the staff accompanist for several area schools.
In addition to receiving the Golden Flash Award, Provost is the recipient of the Dr. Rosemarie B. Manganello Music Education Scholarship, the William H. Kendrick Music Scholarship in Tribute to John Ferguson and the Dr. Roberta Newcomer Scholarship.
Provost is a member of Delta Omicron, International Professional Music Fraternity; the National Band Association; Kappa Kappa Psi, Honorary Band Service Fraternity; and the Ohio Music Education Association. He was also a Field Commander of the 91²Ö¿â Marching Golden Flashes for two seasons.
Provost is expected to graduate in Spring 2017 and hopes to find a teaching position in the public schools and pursue a master’s degree.
