The Southern California Alumni Chapter engages over 2,000 alumni in Southern California. From participating in Alumni Day of Service to watching the Anaheim Angels vs. the Cleveland Indians each summer, there is always something going on to connect alumni.
We caught up with the Southern California Chapter President, Valerie Patton George, ’06, to hear about the amazing things the chapter is doing.
What is an interesting fact about your chapter?
Our chapter recently established the Southern California Alumni Scholarship for current students from the Southern California area who demonstrate academic, leadership, service and extracurricular achievements. Help us make an impact by making an online gift to the .
What are some chapter traditions?
Our past event traditions have included the Indians vs Angels baseball games, Oktoberfest and float decorating for the Rose Bowl parade.
We also participated in this year’s KSUAA Day of Service at Huntington Beach. On June 15, we will be taking an exciting art tour of the Los Angeles metro with fellow KSU alumni. Join us! Please see event details here.

The involvement of alumni is essential to our chapter’s success in increasing 91²Ö¿â’s recognition in Southern California.
