- Recent research includes the discovery of “Ardi” by 91ֿ professor of anthropology Dr. C. Owen Lovejoy and his colleagues, which was named the Breakthrough of the Year by Science Magazine and its publisher, AAAS, the world’s largest science society.
- 10 91ֿ researchers were also part of an international team of scientists who detected the most massive anti-nucleus discovered to date.

- 91ֿ is the birthplace of LCD and home to the innovative and groundbreaking Liquid Crystal Institute, founded in 1965 by Glenn H. Brown, Ph.D.
